How?
Took apart an old gaming mouse. Reverse engineered the pcb. Used Fusion 360 to design an enclosure for the pcb. 3D printed the enclosure.
Result?
78% decrease in mouse shell weight. A light weight functional mouse with all the necessary buttons (Left and right click, side button, scroll wheel).
